I was fortunate to get my brand new Heatilator gas fireplace installed from The Stove Shop just as we were coming out of the pandemic.I always had a prompt response from owner / shop. My unique fireplace was non -standard and required some extra attention.I do quite a bit of research and get quotes before purchasing any large household items, and the cost for my install were on par with other shops.The stove shops customer service is top notch, their installer/ tech Ian is a pro, and took the time to review the maintenance that was performed, and also answered ALL of my questions.Across the board a 5 star rating from product, to service, to post install maintenance.I would recommend to family and friends.
We had a great shopping experience at The Stove Shop. We recently purchased a gas insert for our fireplace and the entire process from start to finish was stress free. The Stove Shop staff are extremely friendly and knowledgeable of the products they sell. Installation was just as easy and really fast. We had an older custom fireplace (18 yrs old) that needed new refractory panels. Cindy found the panels for us with no problems. Ian, the installer that they sent out was wonderful and did an excellent job taking the old ones out and replacing with new! Ian was so helpful and very knowledgeable in his field. Everyone at The Stove Shop was a pleasure to deal with! We would not hesitate to use their services again.
We began the process of replacing our nearly 40-year old wood fireplace insert with a visit to The Stove Shop based on a recommendation. My wife and I spent a couple of hours there looking at possibilities and getting educated by Cyndy on options and planning recommendations. Our chimney needed repair and the fireplace required creosote remediation, so we knew this was going to be an expensive investment. The team at The Stove Shop was excellent to work with through each phase of the process with timely communication and excellent follow-up. The Excursion III was installed on time and we're awaiting the propane install this week. I can't say enough how pleasant the experience has been working with everyone at The Stove Shop and I highly recommend their products and services if you're looking to install or upgrade your fireplace / stove.
We purchased a Heatilator gas fireplace for our family room from The Stove Shop and we love it! The rep in the showroom took a lot of time showing me the features of a variety of products. Once I made my choice, they worked directly with my contractor on the specs to get the unit built into the room. The installers were prompt, efficient, polite and cleaned up after they were done. They took a lot of time to demonstrate how to use the unit. Very happy with The Stove Shop and would use them again!

After installation, we realized we didn’t love the surround we had been given for our new gas fireplace, so I requested to see a different size. They were happy to accommodate and came out quickly to swap it out for us. The whole team was easy to work with and I love the finished product.

We visited The Stove Shop with a view toward re-homing a wood-burning stove into an existing fireplace that we never used. We came with high expectations because other members of our family had such a positive experience with their purchase and installation of a gas fire place. Jon, Cindy, Eric and Casey most definitely met those expectations. Jon and Cindy answered all our questions and patiently helped us explore all the options available to us for converting our wood fireplace to gas. Eric and Casey did a fantastic installation, the attention to detail is outstanding and they offered us tips for improving the appearance of the existing stonework. Everyone involved obviously takes pride in what they do.
Cindy and Team were great to work with. Cindy educated us on the various systems and pointers on cleaning the brick. The installer was careful with my hearth and took the time to explain how the quadra fire works. Ian hooked up the system to my new propane tank and had to return after the tank installer made a mistake. Both times he was courteous and removed his shoes and protected my newly painted hearth. Chris was great with follow up and scheduling. I would recommend them to anyone!

They are nice enough people but I've had the same issue with my pellet stove going on two years and they've just simply stopped responding to my emails both years. I contacted Harman and they tell me to contact my dealer. My issue is becoming a common issue on the message boards with the new XXV-TC and Absolute but no one can figure it out. I can't recommend this company in good faith when you spend $5,000+ on a stove and the service is subpar.
For months I had a problem with my gas fireplace going out. After dealing with two other vendors I contacted the Stove Shop who found that the issue was with the venting system. Alex and Ian replaced the whole venting system. They were very thoughtful in minimizing the size of the holes they created and planned each phase of the project very carefully. I highly recommend the Stove Shop.
During the pandemic, everything became more difficult. The logs I had ordered for my fireplace were coming from California. There were numerous shut downs and delivery delays. They kept me informed and delivered / installed as soon as they could. They kept me in the loop the entire time. I missed my fires, but in the scheme of things it was not a Huge loss. And feeling like I knew what was going on eased the disappointment.
We purchase Peterson Split Oak logs and a Hudson roller door from Jon. Both he a Cyndy visited the house to ensure the measurements were correct, Even in these COVID times the order, delivery and and installation were timely. Ian and Alex did the install and were great, once they left you would never know they had been here, not even a spec of dust. We love our new gas logs and highly recommend the Stove Shop.

We recently moved to the area and wanted to have the woodburning fireplace in our new home changed to gas. The Stove Shop helped us pick out everything. They even came to the house with sample surrounds so we could make sure the color was what we wanted. The technicians who did the installation were very courteous and explained everything in detail. Now that the cold weather is here we are thoroughly enjoying the fireplace and my husband appreciates the fact that he no longer has to chop wood. Thank you!
We have been a customer with the stove shop for 13 years and have alway been very satisfied with the friendly service and products they have. We had a bit of a complicated job and Cindy came to our house did measurements and gave us a lot of advice what would look great. We replaced our fire logs with ventless logs and fireplace doors which we LOVE. It covers old area which were hard to keep clean. Again they came to our rescue when we realized we needed a new chase on our chimney and a cap. Thank you again. We are very pleased as always

Just purchased a Harman pellet stove insert. Everything from the sale to installation was top notch all the way. I have been using a wood stove for 30 years and had a lot of questions about changing from a wood stove to a pellet stove. Jon was my salesman. He did an awesome job! He spent two plus hours with my wife and I prior to completing the sale. The install team is awesome as well. If you purchase a stove from this company you will not be disappointed! Professional grade all the way!

I was closing on my house and realized there was a problem with the fireplace. Time was short and I could not find a anyone who would service it. I called the Stove Shop and Karen listened and checked in to what they could do. Alex was assigned to the job and he was fantastic. He analyzed the problem and fixed the fireplace within a day. He also found a solution that worked flawlessly and cost half of the fix recommended by another fireplace service company. I can not recommend the Stove Shop enough. Great people, customer focused and ask for Alex. He is superb.
Jon was very knowledgeable and nice to work with when we first looked for fire logs. The jewel in the crown was Alex who installed the fire logs. Very knowledgeable and thorough with the install. He was very attentive to safety. Which is extremely important when dealing with gas. He explained the operation and very helpful in answering my questions. I would highly recommend this business and you can't go wrong especially if Alex installs it.
